The 2nd Annual Bait Release happened in June 1999 up at Crystal Lake in Bobcaygeon, a few hours north of Toronto.  Many sentient beings were saved from the "destiny" of being used as bait for killing fish, where their very lives were saved as well.  Hundreds of beings including frogs, crayfish, minnows and worms were returned to their natural habitat in and nearby the lake. We rejoice in saving their precious lives, the lives of the fish, and we rejoice in having  created a karmic connection with them for future lives, where we hope they will become Dharma practitioners, in dependence upon the mercy of The Buddha!
