In June 1999, Tengye Ling sponsored the 6th Annual World Peace Festival at High Park.  Many people aspiring for world peace gathered together in a joyful celebration with singing, dancing and guided visualizations. 

    Most especially, thank you to Native Elder Lillian McGregor and Sikh Guru Hari Nam Khalsa for making very valuable contributions to this occasion.  Special thanks to Cathy Allon, who originally founded this Festival and transferred the care of it over to Tengye Ling during this celebration.  And last but certainly not least, thank you to every individual who contributed to make the World Peace Festival such an enjoyable/enlightening experience.  So please note, from this time forward, Tengye Ling will have the privilege of organizing and sponsoring all future World Peace Festivals. 

    If you are able to or know of anyone who is able to make valuable contributions to the Festival of 2000, please let us know as soon as possible.  We'll keep you posted on future developments of next year's Millennium interfaith festival.
